How Secure Underwriting works

Once your Agency Application Form has been accepted (See Becoming An Agent), you will be sent our Terms of Business which confirms the conditions under which your agency will operate. You will also be given a user name and password to gain access to the brokers' area of our web site.

You can obtain quotations as soon as your agency is operational for our current online products but we are also happy to accept presentations by fax on 0117 9551098. We also invite you to contact the Secure Underwriting Team on 0117 955683 to discuss individual risks. Over the next few months quotation forms will be added to the site that you can complete and forward online.

Quotations are normally issued within 2 days of receipt and usually valid for 30 days. If cover is required you can fax or email your instructions directly to us.

For certain products you can obtain immediate quotations by logging into the brokers' area of this web site. Cover for these products can be requested via the Secure Underwriting broker's area.

Commission is normally payable at a rate of 50% of the commission that we receive from our underwriters and in most cases you will be allowed 30 days from the policy inception date to pay us the net premium.
